Bubblicious en meer Londen

Deze week nog een bijzonder kleurrijk schilderij afgemaakt. De bedoeling was een monochroom schilderij in oranjetinten te maken, maar ergens halverwege ging het mis. Wat ik wilde lukte niet, en de frustratie sloeg toe. Die frustratie gebruikt om de cirkels felblauw te schilderen, en toen ging de rest vanzelf ;-)

I finished a very colorful painting this week. I wanted to do a monochrome painting in orangeshades, but somewhere along the line things went wrong. My plan failed and I got frustrated. Used that frustration to paint the circles in a strong blue, and the rest was easy, and the painting almost painted itself ;-)

Tja, en verder gaat alles zijn gangetje. Alleen dat weer he, wie heeft het er niet over?? Vandaag de zon dan wel zo nu en dan gezien, maar wat een wind zeg. Het waren eigenlijk meer herfstluchten dan zomerluchten. Zou de zomer nog terugkomen of is dit het? We wachten het maar af, want veranderen kunnen we het niet.... Op de zaak is het rustig, vakantietijd, dus valt het niet mee om in een ritme te komen. Daar staat tegenover dat ik wat meer tijd heb om lekker te knutselen, en dat is dan wel weer fijn! Mijn nieuwe verf bevalt goed, voor wie wil weten wat voor merk het is, het is Lukas Cryl Liquid. Goed te vergelijken met Golden Fluids, maar een stuk voordeliger. Enige tegenvaller is de kleur Paynes Grijs, die is van dit merk een stuk minder mooi, dus die wordt nog vervangen door een fles Golden Fluids. Gek, dat een kleur met dezelfde naam toch zo heel anders kan zijn!

Otherwise nothing new. The weather is still horrible, and still the talk of the day. We saw the sun today, but the temperature is not great and a lot of strong wind. We had Autumn skies instead of Summer skies. Will the summer return or is this it? We'll just have to wait, nothing we can change about the weather. At work things are slow, holiday period, so it is hard to get back into that working rhythm. But, that gives me more time to paint, which is nice! I love my new paints, for those of you interested, they are Lukas Cryl Liquid. They are very similar to the Golden Fluids, just a lot more affordable. Only bummer is the color Paynes Grey, very disappointing, so I need to get a bottle of Golden Fluids for this color. Strange, a color with the same name, and yet so totally different!

Net het atelier opgeruimd, dus nu ga ik nog even een beetje schilderen. Fijne avond!
