September, 2 weekjes vakantie

Nog steeds loop ik een beetje achter, maar langzaam maar zeker wordt het wel weer wat met dit blog. Deze post gaat over onze heerlijke vakantie in september, twee weken samen weg, zonder hond, die mocht deze keer uit logeren bij onze vertrouwde honden-oppas ;-)

Still a bit behind, but catching up quickly now. This blogpost is about our wonderful vacation in September, two weeks away, together, no dog this time, she went to our wonderful dog-sitter ;-)

Joh, dat kleine stukje kunnen we toch wel over het fietspad? Nou, dat kleine stukje werd een heeeeel eind, tussen de talloze fietsers door. Het ging gelukkig in goede harmonie, ik ben wel blij dat we geen boswachter tegen kwamen ;-)

Just a short distance using the bicycle path .... Well, not so short, it was a long way, and there were so many people riding their bicycles. Luckily we didn't annoy anyone and we didn't meet the forester, guess we would have been in a lot of trouble ;-)

Het lijkt me duidelijk, we hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad. Veel gezien, mooie ritten gemaakt en veel genoten. Zo'n vakantie waar je echt van uitrust, en waar je graag aan terugdenkt.

I think it's obvious, we had a great vacation. Beautiful bikerides, enjoyed the scenery and had lots of fun. A vacation that relaxes, and was good for a few great memories.

Nog een vogelvlucht, augustus deze keer!

Bevalt wel goed, in vogelvlucht door de maanden. Dus bij deze ook nog maar even een paar hoogtepuntjes van augustus.

I like it, these quick monthly reviews. Here are a few hightlights of August.

Er was een leuk motorritje naar mooi Hattem (waar een heerlijke ijssalon zit!!)

There was a motorbike ride to beautiful Hattem (where we found yummie Italian icecream!!)

Er was een 'inspiratierondje' door Rotterdam, met veel lekkere hapjes en drankjes.

There was an 'inspiration tour' through Rotterdam, with delicious foods and drinks.

Er werd ook nog geschilderd, als voorbereiding op een van mijn workshops bij Scrap4Fun!

En er was een klein feestje, en dat had alles te maken met DIT (klik)  ;-)

There was a little party, and it was all about THIS (click)  ;-)

Ja, ook augustus was weer helemaal niet verkeerd. Eigenlijk heb ik best een leuk leven ;-)

Yep, August was great too. Actually, I have a pretty fun life ;-)

Juli in vogelvlucht

Dit blog lijkt overleden .... Maar nu dan toch weer een teken van leven. Gek is dat, met de komst van de iPad gaat de PC steeds minder aan. Bloggen vanaf de iPad, ik kan er niet aan wennen, ik vind het gewoon niet optimaal. En wat gebeurt er dan? Juist, dan blog ik dus niet. En dat is best jammer, want hoewel ik veel op mijn Facebook pagina en op Instagram plaats is dat toch anders, sneller, korter, en zo weer weg in de stortvloed van berichtjes. Dus, nu al mijn foto's weer netjes op de PC staan, toch maar weer eens een stukje schrijven.

This blog seems dead ..... But posting a sign of life now. It is strange, ever since I got my iPad I rarely turn on my PC. Blogging from the iPad is just not working for me, I don't like it. What happens? Yep, no blogging at all. And that's a shame, because although I post a lot on Facebook and Instagram it is different, it's faster, shorter and disappearing quickly in the overload of messages. So, now that all my photos are transferred to my PC, I started writing this post.

Wat kan ik zeggen over juli? Behalve dan dat het alweer een tijd geleden is natuurlijk. En dat ik eigenlijk al weer vergeten ben wat ik allemaal gedaan heb in juli hahahaha! Gelukkig helpen de foto's mij op weg. Er was veel plezier in ons vakantiehuisje, waar we nog steeds heel erg van genieten.

What can I say about July, except that it is a long time ago and I already forgot what I did in July LOL! Luckily I still have the photos and they bring back the memories. Of course we enjoyed a lot of gorgeous days in our little vacationhome, we still love that place so much.

Er was ook regen, veel regen

There was rain, lots of rain

Maar er was daarna ook weer zon, om heerlijk in het bos te struinen

But after the rain there was more sun, nice weather to play in the forest

En er was dat ontbijtje aan het strand, toen mijn meiden weer thuiskwamen van hun tripje naar Londen.

And there was that breakfast at the beach after my girls came home from their trip to London.

Er werd ook nog wat geschilderd, al was het niet heel veel. Mijn poging tot wat abstracte landschappen.

I did a little bit of painting. My attempt to do a few abstract landscapes.

Alles bij elkaar was het helemaal geen verkeerde maand, leuk om dat zo weer eens bij elkaar te zien. Tel je foto's .... ehhh zegeningen bedoel ik ;-)

All in all July wasn't bad at all, it's kind of fun to see the memories together like this. Count your photos .... ehhhh blessings I mean ;-)

Hutje op de hei deel 3

Een voorlopig laatste lange blogpost over ons hutje op de hei. Er is veel gebeurd, en nog steeds wordt er regelmatig hard gewerkt. Maar, het is nu wel zo ver af dat we er een heerlijk plekje hebben om te ontspannen, en dat doen we dus ook regelmatig. Hier onder een selectie foto's van het interieur. Met de komst van het tweezitsbankje is de inrichting compleet. Fris en vrolijk, met kleurtjes waar ik van hou, ik voel me er helemaal thuis!

For now the last blogpost about our little cabin in the woods. A lot has changed, and we are still working hard. But, it is far enough finished to give us a wonderful place to relax, which we do often now. Below a selection of photos showing the interior. With the arrival of the little twoseat couch the furniture is complete. Fresh and bright, with the happy colors I love so much!

Ook buiten is er veel gaande. Het terras is helemaal klaar, met de fantastische 8-persoons picknicktafel en een mooie (hoe kan het ook anders) turquoise parasol. Een zalige plek om een boekje te lezen. Ook is de tuin inmiddels beplant, al heeft dat natuurlijk nog een hele tijd nodig voordat het echt ergens op lijkt. Plantjes moeten nu eenmaal rustig groeien ;-)

Outside things are changing too. The terrace is done, now complete with the gorgeous table for 8 and the beautiful turquoise parasol (love that color, no surprise!). A wonderful spot to read a good book. The garden has plants too, but of course this needs time to grow and become really beautiful. You can't rush plants ;-)

Het terras is ook heerlijk voor een Slow Coffee! Alles is hier slow, geen haast, alleen genieten.

Heerlijk wandelen in het bos, waar inmiddels het vingerhoedskruid bloeit. Een prachtig gezicht, het zijn toch echte sprookjesplanten. Die wil ik ook nog in mijn tuin, ik hou ze goed in de gaten zodat ik her en der wat zaad kan oogsten.

Lovely walks in the forest, where the foxgloves are blossoming. A great sight, these are true fairytale plants. I want them in my garden too, watching them closely, when the time is right I will harvest a few seeds.

We kunnen eigenlijk maar één ding zeggen, we zijn zo blij met ons hutje op de hei! Na al die jaren erover dromen, praten, vergeten, weer dromen was dan nu de tijd rijp om het ook echt te doen en we hebben er geen spijt van, alleen maar enorme blijdschap elke keer als we daar aankomen!

All we can say now is that we're so happy with our little cabin! We spend years dreaming about something like this, the time was never right, but now that we finally made it happen there are no regrets, just happiness!
