Spannende dag/exciting day !

Vandaag was een hele spannende dag. Mijn oudste dochter Inge heeft het afgelopen jaar de vooropleiding gedaan bij de Kunstacademie in Utrecht en vandaag was haar eindbeoordeling. Toegelaten .... of niet toegelaten .... dat was de vraag ;-) Om half 2 was ze aan de beurt, dat wil zeggen, als alles volgens schema zou verlopen. Dat deed het natuurlijk niet (zijn we inmiddels gewend na een aantal beoordelingen), en het werd uiteindelijk 3 uur. Ze had samen met haar zus alles mooi opgehangen, neergelegd en uitgestald. Na de beoordeling moest ze een minuut of 10 op de gang wachten, en toen kwam het verlossende woord : TOEGELATEN !! Ze is superblij natuurlijk, en wij als trotse ouders niet minder. Vooral, omdat ze nog niet echt een alternatieve studie had, en dan vraag je je toch af, wat gaat dat kind doen als ze haar HAVO diploma heeft LOL Maar goed, haar harde werken, de opgeofferde zaterdagen en de frustraties zo nu en dan zijn toch beloond, en in september kan ze beginnen met haar studie Illustratie :-)

We had an exiting day today. Our oldest daughter Inge has been attending lessons in art school the past year, and today was judgementday !! She would finally hear if she was accepted to study here or  not. Of course the schedule we had was a mess, and she had to wait for 1,5 hours before it was finally her turn. She had all her work on the walls and tables (geez she did make a lot of things in that year!). After the teachers looked at her work and asked her a lot of questions she had to wait in the hall for about 10 minutes, and then she was called in and she heard she is ACCEPTED !! She is so so happy, and we as her parents are so relieved. She didn't have any alternative study, she just wanted this so bad, and one does wonder what she would have done if she didn't get accepted LOL Anyway, she was rewarded for all her hard work, all the saturdays in school and sometimes the frustrations, and she can start her study in Illustrations in September :-)
